M8 is a platform that connects players with each other, based on declared compatibility (games, availability, play style, personality) — never inferred from observed behavior.

Sign-up is open from 16 years old. Accounts aged 16-17 ("minors") and 18 and over ("adults") live in two strictly separate spaces: a minor account can neither see, be seen by, nor contact an adult account — in matching, discovery, search, member lists, and team recommendations. This separation is enforced server-side, not just in the display.

The declared date of birth is never shown publicly (only an age range is, and it can be hidden), and is only used to determine the age cohort.

• An account is personal, tied to a unique email and username.
• The password must be at least 12 characters; it is never stored in plain text (Argon2 hashing).
• Each user is responsible for the content they publish (profile, bio, avatar, messages) and the relationships they initiate through the platform.

Harassment, inappropriate content, cheating, impersonation, and any behavior endangering a minor are forbidden and can be reported from any profile. A report concerning a minor in danger is handled as a priority. Blocking an account immediately cuts off all visibility and contact in both directions.

An account can be deleted at any time from settings. Deletion immediately anonymizes personal data; the remaining data is permanently erased 30 days later.
